I spent part of this week canvassing in North Chattanooga, which is just one small slice of State House District 26. If I came to your door, you’ll remember me as the woman who handed you literature with a photo of a woman who looked like me except without all the sweat.
I’ll be knocking on doors throughout District 26 between now and August 4, which is primary election day for state races. Early voting starts tomorrow.
So if you live in D26 and I come to your house and talk to you or leave you literature, please remember that I look like the woman in the photo.
If you’ve been loving the extreme laws coming out of Nashville and you want more cowbell, I’m not your candidate. But if you’d like to see our state government in the business of public service, I’m right there with you—and I’d appreciate your vote.
D26 is not an extreme right-wing district. If reasonable people in the district turn out to vote now and in November, we can flip this seat blue. No sweat.
